Brazilian Society of Coloproctology

Mr. Arulampalam was invited to give five talks to the Congress of the Brazilian Society of Coloproctology at the Beginning of September. This society is the second largest Coloproctology society in the world with over 1500 delegates attending this meeting. Mr. Arulampalam has strong links with Brazil, having spent 3 months during his elective in 1992 and then making 3 further visits to Professor Angelita Habr Gama’s Unit. He has organized the training of a resident from her unit in Colchester this year.

ICENI Centre

Mr. Arulampalam has been appointed Clinical Director of the ICENI Centre as of September 2013. This role will combine delivery of teaching, training courses and research in the unit as well as building on the successful masters programme.
