Mr. Arulampalam will be talking about his and the team at Colchester Hospital’s experience with the management of patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer. This form of surgery with a TEAM approach has led to many benefits to patients including fewer complications, less pain and faster recovery. The median length of stay following this surgery is 5 days compared to the National average of 11 days.

Hot Topic: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Throughout 2010 I propose publishing a series of short pieces on common conditions that affect many patients that I see. I will also try and provide links to other resources on the web. IBS will be the first of these and I will upload the article shortly.
